Matt Smith
Managing Director
Matt brings over 15 years of commercial and leadership experience working with New Zealand exporters and critical-infrastructure businesses, including Mainfreight, Downer, and Helios.
A qualified Chartered Accountant and Senior Business Adviser, he’s led projects that improved supply chains, streamlined procurement systems, and helped regional teams deliver consistent service across the Pacific and New Zealand.
Since taking over from outgoing founder Colin Carr in 2024, Matt has continued to build on the company’s long-standing values of reliability, care, and trust — strengthening supplier partnerships and supporting customers with dependable, practical solutions.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his young family, scuba diving, and following rugby, cricket, and league.

Alastair Forde
Sales Director
Alastair has been with Colin Carr Agencies since 2007 and brings more than 40 years of experience across quality control, government, and logistics.
Before joining CCA, he worked in quality assurance at Feltex Yarns, served in the New Zealand Army Reserves, and spent over 20 years with New Zealand Customs in various roles including Chief Customs Officer.
A seasoned Pacific traveller, Alastair is known for his calm, detail-driven approach and commitment to getting every order delivered on time and on budget.
He has extensive knowledge of uniforms, fabrics, insignia, and customisation options across defence and police, and is a trusted advisor to many long-standing customers.
Outside of work, Alastair is a life member of the Old Boys University Rugby Club (OBU) and an avid spectator of cricket and horse racing.
